Mkomazi National Park - Following breakfast, the guide/driver will meet the group to provide a brief overview before embarking on a game drive in the park. The park’s name originates from the Pare tribe’s term for “scoop of water,” highlighting its limited water sources. Mkomazi is an untouched gem, showcasing unique natural wonders and a vast sense of space, enhancing the visitor’s experience and serving as a crucial link between Tanzania’s northern circuit and coastal attractions. It is an excellent spot for bird enthusiasts, with over 450 bird species recorded, including dry country endemics like the cobalt-chested vulturine guinea-fowl, large ground birds such as ostriches, kori bustards, secretary birds, ground hornbills, and some migratory species like the Eurasian roller. The park is also a critical sanctuary for two highly endangered species: the captivating black rhino and the sociable African wild dog.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park - In the morning, an English-speaking guide will pick up the group and proceed to the Ngongongare Gate, the entrance to Arusha National Park. Once formalities are completed, the day’s adventure begins. Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, is a favored destination for day trips due to its proximity to Moshi and Arusha. Despite its size, the park boasts a stunning landscape and a diverse array of wildlife. Visitors can observe giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, warthogs, baboons, colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various bird species throughout the year. With some luck, leopards, elephants, and hyenas may also be spotted.

The park’s breathtaking beauty made it a filming location for many scenes of the Hollywood classic “Hatari,” starring John Wayne and Hardy Krüger.
