As a former professional athlete, I’ve chased adrenaline across the globe, from the dizzying heights of mountain peaks to the free-fall rush of skydiving. But when I heard whispers of the Kicking Horse River’s legendary rapids in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, I knew I had to experience it firsthand. My fiancée and I packed our gear and headed to Golden, British Columbia, ready to tackle the white water adventure that awaited us.
