Awesome water adventure, fun for all - Great fun day on the Double Extreme rafting outing today. Scott was terrific mixing good instruction and navigation, tour guiding and humor into the adventure. The Double Extreme rocks, in the smaller 12' raft so that you really feel the water face shots. First time rafting in Colorado for some in our 4-man group, and all had a great time. Highly recommended for anyone interested in some good adrenaline shots.

Best water rafting experience! - We went with a larger group of 11 people with kids ranging from 7-16. Our two guides, Stacks & Nick, were phenomenal! (We had to split into two groups.) We booked last minute and they were able to accommodate us & were so lighthearted and fun! Our teens & tweens had a blast with Stacks! He made sure they were safe and had a good time. The adults in our party (plus our youngest) relaxed and joked around with Nick. We laughed so much!! It was the perfect blend of adventure with the rapids in the beginning and a slower leisurely pace at the end where we could get in the water and swim if we wanted to. Nick also told us about the surrounding area and pointed out beautiful features as we went along. Would 💯 book with them again! Book with them if you’re ready to have a great time!

Fabulous experience - Excellent ‘taste’ of white water rafting. Nothing too serious but enough to raise the adrenaline and get you wet. Would definitely recommend. NASCAR the guide was great!

Recommend for a leisurely float with a bit of excitement. - We had a great time! Randi was an excellent guide. We even got to see a bear on the river! We would have enjoyed more rapids. It got pretty calm and quiet.

A Great Ride - A great ride despite the weather. Curd war a terrific guide -- knowledgeable and skilled. Good mix of various rapids. Not too rough in August

Fun and good experience - Our experience with Whitewater Rafting was overall good. The staff and our guide, Franco, tried to make our trip as much fun as possible. Franco suggested tricks along the way to pump up our experience, which we truly appreciated. He also seemed to have some geologic and historial knowledge about the area, but it was hard to hear him from the first two rows of the raft and we missed much of it.
Their camp has a store with plenty of items for you to buy last minute. There are also lockers in the restroom, but everyone leaves their things in their cars and their keys at the counter. I do want to point out that the ladies room lacked maintenance (only one of the two available toilets was working) and cleaning. Unfortunately, the changing rooms/showers were pretty nasty.
A couple of things you should know before going:
1. The actual paddling time in the river is about 30/40 min. The most fun is on the Shoshone rapids, a level III rapids located within the first 15 min. After that, the rest of the trip is really laid back and you rarely get a chance to paddle. If you are looking for an all-in adventure, skip these rapids.
2. You'll get soaked if you seat on the front row. There are plenty of waves and splashes, so if you are not fond of cold water, seat on the back instead.
3. The water is pretty cold. Even in the heat of August, with the water being at 68° on the day of our trip, it was quite a shock.
4. Don't get the lunch add-on. You can only have it at their camp, before or after your trip (no, you won't have stops along the way). The portions are also very small and you'll end up craving a second lunch. I suggest driving downtown and eat somewhere else.
5. Consider renting the kayak add-on. We didn't do it, but since the river was pretty chill after the rapids, it seems like a good idea.
Overall, I think Whitewater Rafting offers a rather good service and I'd recommend the experience, specially if it's your first time rafting.
