Totally recommend! - We had great trip. The pick up and drop off spots were close to our hotel, so easy! The driver, Richard O'Brian, was excellent. He was funny and knowledgeable about local history, Glendalough was beautiful and a wonderful day trip from Dublin. Totally recommend!

Do it! Loved Alex - Loved it. Was not too long nor too short. Alex was our driver and was great. Even had some unruly passengers but he handled himself well. Would recommend!

Friendly driver - Easy way to get to the national park. 2 hours is plenty of time to walk to the lake and enjoy the views. Friendly bus driver with great sense of humour made fir a memorable afternoon.

Glendalough & Wicklow are a 10, the travel is a 6 - We enjoyed Glendalough National Park and the Wicklow mountains very much - beautiful scenery and great light hiking. The bus travel felt long (over and hour each way). The driver and tour guide were kind and informative, but there was music played that you could only hear if you were at the front of the bus (no speakers, maybe??). This is a personal opinion, but we would've preferred some Irish music with occasional commentary at certain spots vs ongoing dialogue. Overall, I'm happy we went to Wicklow - I do feel it's worth a trip when staying in Dublin.

Long ride, short stay - Was a nice ride, took about 1 3/4 hours to get to the Glendalough. Then only given 1.5 hours to explore, which doesn’t give you enough time to enjoy this beautiful site. Also details say local guide, there was no guide, so you had to navigate the park by yourself, which made you rush through, didn’t want miss bus for return. Driver was nice, but bus was 100% full, and had engine trouble, a 4:45p return into 6:30 return , waiting for replacement bus. Didn’t get back to Dublin until 8pm. Understandably the bus breakdown was a one off.

half day Glendalough tour with Paddywagon - only so-so - Although Glendalough was very pretty and the monastery was really interesting, the bus ride was long and it was packed. From the description, we thought there would be more of a tour of Dublin. We also repeatedly asked the tour guide/driver to speak into the microphone or see if he could fix his audio, so anyone in the back missed anything he was saying. It was an "okay" half day for the price, but you would be better to do with a full day and/or a smaller group to really get insights and stories.

A long drive back and forth, but a terrific time en-route! - Our Tour Guide was very informative and a lot of fun. He had great lessons in history, geology, agriculture, and Irish folk tunes. Many thanks for that. The tour we booked was "Glendalough & Wicklow Mountains Afternoon Tour from Dublin" however the tour forgot about the "Wicklow Mountains" part of the tour. We truly did enjoy Glendalough and the history of that place, and the walk around the lakes, but missed the views we were expecting to take in from the mountains.
