Hike Description:
Enjoy a guided 5.5km(2.5-3.0hr) hike a top the Niagara Escarpment starting with an apple tree lined trail before entering into a denser moss/fern covered forest on route to the keyhole (1m high arch) entrance into the spectacular Nottawasaga Bluffs caves.
After exploring the main caves you will be treated to an epic lookout, a great spot to take a break.
Then we will explore the Best caves (long narrow crevices) and for those comfortable with a steep descend and an enclosed cave we will explore Freedom Rock (an outcropping that broke off from the Escarpment) and the Tomb (small adjacent cave), both have a series of aphorisms carved into the rock by an unknown 19th century liberal.
What to bring:
Water, snacks, appropriate clothing, and closed toe shoes are required.
Nottawasaga Bluffs Caves tour vs. the Singhampton Caves tour:
The Singhampton caves are all open, have taller walls making them more grandeur. The Nottawasaga Bluffs main caves are less numerous, but side caves offer more closed/underground discovery options and a larger lookout point.

Our hikes are private, ensuring you will not be grouped with other hikers.
A minimum of two people is required for this tour.
What sets this tour apart is the personalized experience your guide will create based on your interests. All participants will enjoy the same 2.5km trail into the Singhampton Caves and the remarkable walk through the caves. However, your guide will collaborate with you to tailor your return journey, allowing you to “choose your own adventure” on the way back. There are four different trail options, ranging from 2.0km to 3.5km. Some offer stunning lookouts, while others provide more opportunities for cave and crevice exploration.
After building up an appetite on your hike, we recommend visiting one of our local spots such as Giffen’s Country Market in Glen Huron or one of the many cafes for a warm drink in Creemore.
