A Day of Adventure at Glavani Park

Our family has always been drawn to activities that combine excitement with learning, and Glavani Park in Istria, Croatia, promised just that. As a museum curator, I am always on the lookout for experiences that engage both the mind and body, and this high-ropes climbing course seemed like the perfect fit for our family adventure. We arrived at the park around 10 am, eager to explore the largest high-ropes course in Croatia.

To our delight, we found ourselves among the first visitors of the day, which meant we had the park almost entirely to ourselves. The staff greeted us warmly, and our children, aged 7 and 9, were immediately taken under their wing. They were given a thorough safety briefing before embarking on the yellow, blue, and black routes. The personalized attention they received was exceptional, and it was clear that the staff, including Nigel and Carli, were dedicated to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The park offers a variety of routes and activities, allowing visitors to choose their own adventure. Our children were thrilled to tackle the different courses, and the fact that they could repeat the routes without any additional cost was a pleasant surprise. The park’s design caters to all levels of climbers, from beginners to more experienced adventurers, making it an ideal destination for families with children or teens.

While the kids were busy conquering the high ropes, my wife and I took the opportunity to explore some of the other attractions. The 12 1/2 meter high swing and the human slingshot were particularly exhilarating, offering a rush of adrenaline that left us both breathless and exhilarated. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the park also features wooden walkways for smaller children, a mini excavator, and an animal park where visitors can interact with goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.

A Perfect Family Outing

As the day progressed, we found ourselves enjoying an impromptu meal at the park. A group visit had left an abundance of food, and we were invited to partake in a delicious spread. The availability of cold drinks, coffee, and ice cream, along with shaded seating areas, provided a welcome respite for parents looking to relax while their children continued to explore.
