camels are treated well and Mostafa is an amazing tour guide! - My friend and I went on this tour this past weekend and it was incredible! Mostafa knows so much about the history of the pyramids and really made the learning engaging. The camels were wonderful and it is obvious he truly cares about them and their wellbeing. The camels were fed lots of food and were able to take a break in between the rides. My friend and I are two young women and we felt very safe with Mostafa. If you are going to do a camel ride tour of the pyramids I strongly suggest this one.

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER ABSOLUTE MUST - BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE!!!!!! This was one of the most incredible things I've ever done.
This was a lifelong dream of mine, but I was really worried about the treatment of camels on different tour experiences. We booked this one because it was listed as "meets animal welfare guidelines," and this was absolutely true. Mostafa was so gentle with his camels at every step of the way, giving them rests, bringing food, and gently leading them.
He was extremely helpful at every step of the way. From booking a car for us, to calling the driver to ensure we were ok when our phones didn't have service, to giving clear isntructions on how to reach him, we had a very smooth arrival process. He was also super helpful when teaching us how to ride the camels and explaining what to expect.
He brought us to the most picturesque view of the pyramids and we sat to give the camels a rest and talk about the pyramids. He was very knowledgeable about both general Egyptian history and that specifically of the pyramids. He answered all our questions very well. Then, he helped us take pictures. He had the BEST ideas for taking fun pictures with the pyramids. Truly, every picture he took was incredible. They all looked professionally taken, even though they were just on our iPhones.
Once we left the picture location, he offered to take us to the Sphinx because we were two young girls and he wanted to make sure we were safe when going to see it. He made us feel so comfortable and protected. It was clear he has a great heart and was really looking out for us. He also helped me negotiate the price on post cards I wanted to buy.
After we dismounted the camels, he continued to go above and beyond to show us the other important things, like the entrance to one of the pyramids, the famous dog Rocky who lived near the pyramids, the place where a ship was excavated, and a massive granite stone with ancient carvings. Every experience was memorable and thorough. Finally, he waited with us until he was sure the driver was back at the front and even called to make sure we got home safe.
If you do anything in Cairo, you HAVE to book this experience. I will truly never forget it. Mostafa was the best tour guide ever. I felt completely safe and cared for the entire time. I will think about this for the rest of my life.

Pyramid tour - This camel tour was the most magical experience and truly something that we will cherish forever! From the tour guide Nasreen picking us up from the hotel and giving so much info on what we were about to see, to Mustafa bringing us on his camels and taking the most amazing pictures, my boyfriend and I couldn't have asked for a better day. They truly go above and beyond for their clients and it shows how much they care about what they do. We got to see the pyramids from a breathtaking view point and got to go close up. Nasreen then brought us to the Sphinx and then to the gift shops! Truly recommend this tour to anyone going to Cairo! It's a must!

Great camel riding experience! - We really enjoyed this camel ride and would definitely recommend.
After booking, the tour guide, Mostafa, contacted us to introduce himself and ask if we needed a car transfer, which was very helpful! On the day, after buying a ticket at the entrance to the Giza pyramids (easy to buy there and then, although worth arriving a little early to queue since a lot of tours seem to arrive around that time), we met him just through the ticket barriers and he led us to another man who would be taking us on our camel ride.
We spent a good hour enjoying a peaceful ride through the dessert to a fantastic viewpoint of all the pyramids. It was quite bumpy but didn't take long to get the hang of and felt safe. The man took plenty of photos of us, some more silly than others but it made for a fun experience and some fantastic photos!
It's worth noting that, as stated, you do get given a drink in the middle - we were given a Pepsi - but the guy did expect a tip for it! It's just part of the culture, but worth remembering to take a few extra notes with you.
After we got back to the pyramids, we met back up with Mostafa and he gave us some really interesting information about the pyramids while we sat in the shade. We were then free to walk around the pyramids and the Sphinx since we had already paid to be in the plateau. He also said if we ran into any difficulties to message him and he'd be right there, which was very kind since it can get overwhelming with the number of people trying to sell you camel rides, photos, etc. in that area.
Overall it was a fantastic experience. The camels looked well looked after, so it was well worth the money, and seems a good compromise between the very long camel rides recommended for the wellbeing of the camels and the very short and cheap rides offered that are generally not recommended online.
A big thanks to Mostafa!

AMAZING! - OMG!!! Just book it! My travel partner and I booked with Mostafa many months prior to our trip. He was easy to communicate with, answered all of our questions, and even reassured us when we were nervous! He designed a top notch, custom itinerary for us. Our professional Egyptologist guide Nesreena (Nana!) reached out several days early as well. Our driver and Nana picked us up at the Hilton right on time, we went to the pyramids of Giza and learned all about it. Then we met Mostafa for our camel ride. AMAZING! He and the camel driver took us on a long ride way out into the desert. He was so patient and kind... reassured us as we were nervous! We took our time, they took amazing photos and some fun videos. We never felt rushed. My camel's name was Valentino and my friend's was Michael Jordan. So fun! Beautiful animals. We heard more history and answered all our questions. We eventually headed back and met Nana and our driver again. Nana asked what souvenirs we still needed and made a suggestion and took us to an amazing shop where we had custom bracelets made for my two sons with a cartouche with their names. It was the perfect idea!! The shop also had beautiful jewelry so I purchased a pair of earrings for myself. We went to the GEM museum and continued our tour. Eventually went for a delicious lunch at a local eatery to end the day.
The following day we had the same driver and professional guide. We went to Memphis and Saqqara. Did more shopping and went to the carpet school and the supermarket.... neither were on the itinerary but added bonuses! We had another delicious lunch of local food. We couldn't be happier and would recommend booking with this company for any type of tour you may desire. Top notch all around!

An unforgettable experience with THE best guide! - We booked this tour after reading lots of helpful reviews on Tripadvisor so it only seems fair to write about our own experience.
This is an unforgettable, life-enhancing tour from beginning to end… and beyond!
Mostafa was very helpful and warm communicating with us for many months before our arrival. He made sure our driver arrived on time (and waited as we were a bit late) and guided us rhrough the process of buying site tickets and clearing security. He could meet us on the other side and it’s clear he knows the pyramids and all the guides and staff extremely well. His English is excellent and he knows how to relate the history and mysteries of the pyramids in the most compelling way. Our 9 year old sons were hooked! At the same time, he could also answer my husband’s detailed history questions and my questions about tourism and contemporary events.
The camels seem very happy and healthy and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the tour. It’s quite a different feeling to be up that high and seeing the view as it must have been for thousands of years. You can’t quite believe how magical the experience is! Getting so close to the pyramids and seeing how the light shifts with wind, sun and scattered clouds is not something we will forget soon. One of our sons was quite afraid of being so high up while the other was quite giddy with excitement and Mostafa and his team managed both superbly. You get used to the feeling of riding a camel within a few minutes.
We never felt rushed and Mostafa answered all our questions with interest and warmth and took some amazing photos of us and for us. We’ll
be printing and framing them for sure. He went above and beyond for our family — arranging for us to keep
the driver for the day and even sorting out our plans when language was a barrier… even after the tour was over!
You feel he cares deeply for the pyramids, for the incredible history of this special place and to do whatever it takes to give his clients the best and most memorable experience of their lives. We all can’t wait to come back to do it all over again! Don’t hesitate to book with Pyramids Camel Ride… we could see the other tour companies and they aren’t the same quality. Mostafa goes above and beyond for his clients and if you want the best experience it’s worth choosing someone so professional, kind and knowledgeable. We didn’t price compare but it was well within the range of prices we’ve seen and we felt safe and cared for throughout. Trust the excellent reviews — I’m glad we did!

Book with Mostafa - Mostafa runs a great business here. His camels are well looked after and he and his cameleer Amr took amazing photos. His driver Ahab was incredible; picked us up from our hotel and then took us to several other tourist sites after, stopped at a restaurant that accommodated my dietary restrictions and finally took us to the airport. We had a great day from sunrise to sunset due to this company.

Best day!! - I would give this tour one million stars if I could. This was without a doubt one of the most amazing days of my life!! Our tour guide was Nesreen and she's the best!! So intelligent, knowledgeable, and friendly! We started off by visiting Memphis which was very interesting. It's set up like an open air museum and a lot of the artifacts were found in their exact spot or very close by. The artifacts themselves were amazing and it was even better to have our tour guide explain everything to us. Next we went to Sakkara where we saw the step pyramid and the first building made of stones! We also went inside a burial tomb which was very cool! Then, Nesreen took us to a carpet school where we saw how handmade carpets are made in Egypt. It was incredible to see and the carpets are gorgeous. We ended up buying a couple of them. They are quite expensive but they seem worth the price and unlike anything you can find elsewhere. We also went to a papyrus store where they showed us how papyrus paper is made. They had really nice paintings in there. Finally we went to the great pyramids which was the best part. We saw the great pyramid up close and took some pictures first and then we went on a camel ride around the pyramids. We went to a panoramic spot where you can see all of the pyramids at the same time to take some more pictures. The last thing we did was go see the Sphinx. Mustafa organized the trip and we met him when we went on the camels. He was very nice and booking the trip with him was an easy, streamlined process. Our driver Hamdi was also great and very nice. Overall an amazing experience and I recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Cairo/Giza. It was a very full day but I feel like I saw everything I wanted to see and more!

The BEST Camel tour and guide! - Everything was perfect from pick-up to drop-off! I highly recommend our guide Mustafa who was not only knowledgeable but made us feel completely comfortable. The camels are beautiful and you can tell they are well cared for. Mustafa also knows the BEST spots for pictures and got us magnificent shots! You pay for park entry plus any add ons like entering the Kufu Pyramid, then for your camel ride and that's it, no surprises. There are a lot of tours out there, but I can tell you Mustafa is an honest and reputable guide. I'd give 10 stars if I could -
