The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Next, visit the Egyptian Museum, constructed in 1902 AD by French architect Marcel Deghonou in a Greco-Roman style. The museum features two floors displaying over 100,000 masterpieces from ancient Egyptian temples and tombs, including the exquisite golden collection of King Tutankhamun, discovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 AD in the Valley of the Kings.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - The tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 7:00 am to escort you to Alexandria, the Greek city founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BC. After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, visit the Catacombs archaeological site, discovered in 1900 AD when a donkey’s leg fell into the tomb’s shaft. It is the largest Greek and Roman cemetery in Egypt, featuring three underground floors blending Ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman art.
Pompey’s Pillar - Next, visit the Pompey’s Pillar archaeological site to see the remains of the Serapium Temple dedicated to the Greek goddess Serapis, a deity of healing during the Greek and Roman periods. The temple’s pillar, mistakenly named by the Crusaders as Pompey’s Pillar, was believed to have held Pompey’s head after his assassination by King Ptolemy XIII’s guards during his conflict with Julius Caesar.
Kayetbai - Continue to Qaitbay Castle, built by Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay in 1456 AD as a defensive fortress against potential sea invasions, such as those by the Ottomans. Biblioteca de Alexandria - Visit the Alexandria Library, built in 2003 AD on the site of the original library established by King Ptolemy I and completed by King Ptolemy II in the second century.
