The museum showcases uniforms, weapons, flags, and other wartime artifacts, including photographs and battle site displays.

Temple of the Oracle of Amun / Aghurmi - After breakfast at the hotel, guests are picked up at 7:00 am to visit the Temple of the Oracle, also known as Alexander the Great Temple. It is believed that Alexander the Great sought the Siwan oracle’s confirmation of his divine lineage as the son of Zeus, the Greek god of gods.
Siwa Oasis - The tour then proceeds to the salty lake, where the buoyant water allows for effortless floating. Swimmers are advised to avoid getting water in their eyes and to choose the crystal-clear lake, identifiable by its visible bottom. It’s recommended to bring a bottle of water for rinsing off after swimming, as the lakes possess potent healing properties, even stronger than regular seawater. A swim here is truly delightful!
Cleopatra’s Pool - Spring of Juba - Next, guests visit Cleopatra’s Bath, also known as the Spring of the Sun. Legend has it that Cleopatra herself swam here. A lunch break offers the opportunity to savor Siwan cuisine at a local restaurant.
Great Sand Sea - The adventure continues at the Great Sand Sea, where guests can enjoy sandboarding and explore the desert by Jeep 4x4. The best sand dunes for sandboarding in Egypt are found here, near the Siwa Oasis.
Siwa Oasis - The tour concludes with a visit to the hot and cold spring Bir Waheed, followed by a relaxing experience with traditional Bedouin tea at sunset. Guests then prepare their campsite for the night. Dinner and overnight accommodation are provided at a hotel in Siwa.
Masra Matrouh | Cairo
Shali Fortress - After breakfast at the hotel or camp, guests visit Shali Fort, built on a hill within a protective wall. The fortress, a maze of mud-brick buildings, served the oasis inhabitants for nearly eight centuries. Residents lived in close quarters, sharing space with their animals, which were brought into the fortress each evening.
Mountain of the Dead - The tour proceeds to the Mountain of the Dead, a conical mountain located just over a kilometer north of Shali. Tombs from the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty, Ptolemaic, and Roman periods are carved into the mountain’s side. Four notable tombs at Gebel Al Mawta are must-sees, with the Si Amun Tomb being the most exquisite.
Mersa Matruh - The journey back to Cairo includes a stop at Marsa Matrouh on Egypt’s North Coast for lunch.

Siwa Oasis, considered one of Egypt’s most enigmatic oases, is also the most captivating. Its history has been influenced by all major civilizations and is marked by the contrast between the surrounding desert and the oasis’s fertile land.
The Siwan people have their own unique culture and customs. In addition to speaking Arabic, they also speak their native Berber (Amazigh) language. Women continue to wear traditional costumes and silver jewelry, and Siwa remains an excellent place to purchase traditional local handicrafts.
