founded by King Menes, it was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom,

Following this, we will continue to explore the Grand Sphinx, a monumental statue dating back to the time of Chephren, and visit the Valley Temple. Afterward, we will proceed to the city of Memphis, a historical place established by King Menes and revered as the Old Kingdom’s capital. Renowned for being a cradle of governance and culture for over 3000 years, this was Egypt’s first capital. Here you’ll be able to view the statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.
