Built as tombs for kings and queens, having a pyramid was a significant honor in Ancient Egypt, particularly during the Old and Middle Kingdoms.

You will have the opportunity to ride a camel for 15 minutes around the Sahara Desert.

• Pyramid of Menkaure - You will have the chance to enter the third pyramid. Menkaure, the son of Khafre, constructed the smallest of the three main pyramids on the Giza Plateau. Originally 65.5m (215ft) tall, it now stands at 62m (203ft), with sides measuring 105m (344ft) and an angle of 51.3 degrees. It is believed that the pyramid was expanded during its construction, making it larger than initially planned. The original smaller pyramid featured a simple descending corridor and burial chamber. When enlarged, a new corridor with three portcullises and a small paneled chamber was added. Later, another burial chamber and a storeroom were included at a lower level. Like its two neighbors, this pyramid has a north-facing entrance.
• Great Sphinx - Known to the ancients as “Shesep Ankh” or “the living image,” the Great Sphinx is one of history’s most iconic structures. The Sphinx is synonymous with Egypt and the Giza Plateau. Carved from soft sandstone, it likely would have eroded away if not for being buried in sand for extended periods. The body measures 60m (200ft) in length and 20m (65ft) in height, with a face 4m (13ft) wide and eyes 2m (6ft) high. Facing the rising sun, it was so revered by the ancients that they built a temple in front of it.
• Giza - Afterward, you will enjoy a lunch of koshary or a falafel sandwich, followed by a stop for Egyptian souvenirs before returning to your hotel.
