Classic - We went in late February, it was cold and breezy, so dress accordingly. Wanted to see this since I saw the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me, show has not changed since at least 1977! Timeless classic, just like the Sphinx and Pyramids themselves! Setting is magnificent.

Not reliable; decent show - Driver was 45 minutes late to pick up and we showed up at 8:53 for an 8:30 show, then he didn’t have our tickets and we had to wait for him to get it sorted out. We had texted multiple times that we were ready for pickup by 6:45 and didn’t want to be late given the traffic, but they assured us a 7:30 pick up was fine. We sent our location as agreed upon, and sat in the same spot to wait for 1.5 hr. We ended up taking a cab as told then switching to the Viator driver …The whole thing was a bit of a mess, but the man and driver were very kind and did try to make up for it all to get us there to see most of the show. They clearly felt pretty badly and were very responsive with texting throughout.

Sound and light show- very dated - The driver and guide were very helpful- and lovely. The should and light show has not moved since the 70's, so was very poor quality for thr current day. Only go if you want the old feel- no lasers, or good music- was narrated like a 70s film too.

Truly awful - I never did manage to see this. The company organising it is truly awful and I am still waiting for them to reimburse me. They cancelled my booking for Wednesday 17/09/2025. I should then have cancelled but I agreed to going on Saturday 20/09/2025. Their Whatsapp messages went very quiet but when I messaged them on 19/09/2025 they assured me it was going ahead. In the event no one turned up at 19.30. At least a quarter of an hour late, a young man in jeans and a t shirt ran in accusing me of not going outside the hotel to be picked up. This never happens with other companies and I was not prepared to be spoken to like that so I had to say that the trip was off. Since then I have heard nothing from the company and I seem unable to contact Tripadvisor. My emails all bounce back.

Ridiculous spectacle - Show so pathetic that it's almost funny. Bad acoustics, effects that sometimes overlap with speech, dogs in the area howling and passing in front of the projector, cars with headlights on passing in the illuminated area, pseudo-epic and dated narrative with very little informative content. The only positive note is the possibility of seeing the pyramids and sphinx illuminated, but that they are exploited in this way is an insult to both spectators and monuments.

Bad information. - The name of the hotel you are supposed to meet at might be Pyramids View Inn NOT Giza Pyramids Inn. We looked for 30 min before giving up on the tour and buying new tickets. Costs a lot less to just buy from the Pyramids and light show vendor. You cannot locate 7 Sphinx Street on ANY Map.
