- Pyramids of Dahshour - An Egyptology guide will promptly pick up guests from their hotel in Cairo or Giza. They will be transported south to explore the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur, a renowned royal necropolis in Egypt. Situated in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo, it is famous for its pyramids, including two of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, constructed between 2613–2589 BC; the Red and Bent Pyramids of King Snefru.
- Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - The tour continues to Saqqara, located just 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visitors will see the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. This pyramid is a significant part of the evolution of pyramids, transitioning from simple mastabas to their well-known form. Constructed during the Third Dynasty of Ancient Egypt 4,800 years ago, guests will also explore the Tombs of the Nobles in Saqqara to learn about the daily life of ancient Egyptian noblemen.
- Memphis and Sakkara - Next, the tour visits the ancient capital city of Memphis, about 24 kilometers south of Cairo. Founded by King Menes, Memphis was the capital during the Old Kingdom and a cultural hub for over 3,000 years. Although little remains of this pharaonic city, the open-air museum is worth visiting. Here, guests can see the enormous fallen statue of Ramesses II, standing 16 meters high, and the impressive Alabaster Sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut.
- Pyramids of Giza - After this enriching tour, guests will have the opportunity to visit a papyrus institute to learn how Egyptians created this authentic artwork thousands of years ago. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Upon entering the Giza plateau, visitors can approach the Great Pyramid of Cheops closely, fulfilling the dream of seeing the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. The guide will share historical insights about these 4,600-year-old tombs, their construction, and the time it took to complete them. Ample time will be provided for photography, and guests may choose to enter one of the pyramid’s burial chambers (extra ticket required).
- Pyramid of Khafre - As the tour continues past the pyramids of Chephren and Menkaure, there will be a stop for photos of all the pyramids together. In this part of the Sahara Desert, guests can enjoy a camel ride, take beautiful photos, and have fun in the desert (optional with extra cost).
- Great Sphinx - Following the pyramids, the tour visits the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren, the owner of the second pyramid at Giza Plateau. Here, guests can get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and King Chephren’s head, symbolizing the pharaoh’s power and wisdom. Visitors may also explore the Solar Boat Museum (optional), which houses the well-preserved funerary boat of Cheops.
- Cairo - Finally, guests will be transferred back to their hotel in Cairo or Giza.
