The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops, is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids located in the Giza Necropolis, adjacent to modern-day El-Giza. It is the most ancient of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that remains largely intact. Egyptologists believe the pyramid was constructed as a tomb for the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (known as Cheops in Greek) over a period of 14 to 20 years, finishing around 2560 BC.
Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Cairo to explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. The tour will then proceed to the Great Sphinx, which features the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, dating back to the era of Chephren. This Sphinx was created to serve as the Guardian of the Pyramids of King Chephren.
The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple associated with the Pyramids of Chephren. The temple served two distinct purposes.
