All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between c. 2600 – c. 2500 BC. The site also includes several temples, cemeteries, and the remains of a workers’ village.
- Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx of Giza is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion.[1] Facing directly from west to east, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx appears to represent the pharaoh Khafre.[2] The original shape of the Sphinx was cut from the bedrock, and has since been restored with layers of limestone blocks.[3] It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches.[4]

Great time around Giza with Basem - Basem was an exceptional tour guide. Managed to get us into the tour itself for much cheaper than the big tour groups and then also had an entire afternoon of extra stuff planned around the giza area, including lunch. He also picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel. Would thoroughly recommend.

Easy, Fun, no frills experience - This was my 2nd tour with Basem’s service. It was exactly as described. My tour guide Mo was great and super knowledgeable. He even guided me to an area where I was able to climb all the way to the top of the pyramids!! (Haha jk😂). But he did run with me to the Sphinx exhibit which was closing to make sure I got the full experience. What other guide would do that!? I highly recommend this to all tourists who want to take the hassle out of planning their trip to the pyramids. They take care of everything. Thanks guys 🙏🏻

First visit, will come back - This was my first time in Egypt and Cairo, and visiting the pyramid was a must. Mostafa Ortega was a great guide and helped me navigate the Giza plateau.
