Both the Magic Lake and Lake Qaroon boast unique histories and local tales, whether factual or part of local mythology. It offers an engaging and enjoyable experience for both adults and children. Typically, it is a day trip, being just two hours from Giza. However, upon request, camping is available for a night of stargazing!

Real Food Real Stories Real Adventure - I did this tour with my partner and we still smile when we think about it. The whole day was smooth from the car ride to the lunch to the safari. The waterwheels stop was only sixty minutes but it was packed with information. The admission fee covered everything so we just enjoyed. The atmosphere was very local and genuine. There were almost no other tourists at the waterwheels just us and some locals. The staff were professional but also warm. This is best for couples who want culture and adventure together. A short memory is when we stopped for lunch and the guide brought out a dish that his own mother makes. He said he wanted us to taste real home cooking. That simple meal of rice and chicken and some local bread tasted better than any restaurant. Then he told us a story about how Fayoum was the ancient breadbasket of Egypt. That mix of food and history was perfect. Fayoum best destination and Safy best guide no doubt.

Ancient Whales and a Guide Who Cares - We were three friends and we booked this after seeing photos online. The reality was even better. The valley of the whales is not just a stop it is an experience. I felt like an explorer discovering something ancient. The admission fee was part of the all inclusive so no surprise costs. We spent the full two hours there and could have stayed longer. The atmosphere was quiet and almost holy. The crowd was very light because we went early. The staff including our guide knew exactly when to talk and when to stay silent. This is best for anyone who wants to learn something real. A story that stuck with me happened when we found a small fossil that had fallen off the main site. Our guide picked it up and explained exactly what it was from the shape of the bone. He then placed it back carefully. That respect for history touched me. This tour is a hidden gem for sure.

Laughs and Lake Views With a Good Buddy - I went with my best friend and we had a blast. The lake Qarun stop was so refreshing after the hot desert. We just stood there for two hours taking in the view. The admission fee was included so no worrying. The atmosphere was a mix of peaceful and exciting because we knew the safari was next. There were not too many people maybe twenty total. The staff were chill and gave us good tips for photos. This tour is best for friends looking for a fun day trip. A short story that made us laugh was when we tried to take a jumping photo near the lake. My friend jumped too hard and his hat flew into the water. We could not get it back but he did not even care. We just laughed and took more photos. The guide later gave him a spare hat from the car. That little kindness made the whole day feel special. I can say without doubt this is a charming place.

A unique desert adventure - I would repeat this if I visit Egypt in the future again. Wadi-Al-Hitan should be on every traveler's list. Safy showed us all the interesting exhibits in the park. Probably the only place in the world where we can see ancient fossils in the open. Safy organized a lunch for us at a desert camp. The food was so amazing. The park has a museum at the entrance, which has quite a few exceptional fossils on display. Many thanks to Safy for this experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR - I cannot recommend Safy highly enough! We had the privilege of spending four days with her, and she curated an absolutely breathtaking itinerary that exceeded every expectation.
Safy’s passion for Egypt—its history, culture, and roots—shines through in everything she shares. A remarkable highlight is her ability to read hieroglyphics, which brought ancient sites to life as she translated inscriptions and explained their meaning in such an engaging way.
What touched me most was her kindness and compassion. Each day, she carried food for the stray dogs and cats we encountered, showing the same care for Egypt’s animals as she does for its people and history.
By the end of our four days together, I truly felt as though I had gained a dear friend in Cairo. We are already dreaming up our next adventure with her when I return to Egypt. Safy is simply one of a kind, and any traveler would be lucky to explore Egypt with her.

Such a great tour - Such a great tour ! Everything was perfect; the guide, the driver, safari, whale valley, swimming in the charming lakes, foxes, wildlife, dinner, tea on firewood at midnight in the middle of the nowhere !. Such authentic beauty and peaceful desert never expected unless you live the experience yourself ! If you prefer nature to touristic spots, book this tour to have an authentic experience of the real Egypt !
