• Pyramids of Giza - Explore Egypt’s most iconic landmark, the Pyramids of Giza, including a visit to the Cheops Pyramid and the Great Sphinx at Giza.
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The complex of Khufu’s pyramid includes a valley temple, currently buried under the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - The pyramid complex of Khafre features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were discovered in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple originally housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
• Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. In the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was expanded by later rulers.
• Giza Plateau - At any time from 7:00 am or earlier, an expert tour guide will pick you up from Cairo airport, holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred in a private A/C car to start the Cairo Layover Tours, visiting the Giza Pyramids. This includes a visit to the Pyramids area, where you can see the Great Pyramid of Cheops. There are opportunities to enter any of the pyramids or ride a camel around them, but separate tickets are required and can be purchased on-site. • Old Cairo - Proceed to Old Coptic Cairo to explore the Christian part of the city, visiting the oldest churches, including The Hanging Church, Abu Sergha, and the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Azra.
