• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, often referred to as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, is located in Cairo, Egypt, and houses a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It boasts 120,000 items, with a significant portion on display and the rest in storage. Constructed in 1901 by the Italian firm Garozzo-Zaffarani and designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the building is among the largest museums in the area. As of March 2019, the museum welcomes visitors. In 2020, it is set to be replaced by the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.
