Pyramids of Dahshur - Begin your journey at Dahshur, where you will encounter the Red Pyramid (the first True Pyramid) and the Bent Pyramid (the initial attempt to construct a True Pyramid) of King Snefru, father of King Khufu and founder of the Fourth Dynasty around 2620 BC. The Bent Pyramid was closed until 1960 for restoration and reopened to visitors in 2019 AD. Explore it with your Egyptologist guide.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Next, proceed to Saqqara to explore the Step Pyramid Complex of King Zoser (the oldest complete stone building). View the Pyramid of Unas (the first pyramid with interior texts), the causeway of Unas, the Pyramid of Userkaf, the Pyramid of Teti (accessible with pyramid texts inside), and the tomb of Kagemni in Saqqara (a nobleman of the Old Kingdom, 2200 B.C.).

Pyramids of Giza - Your guide will then take you to Giza, where you will see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Explore the Valley Temple, where the king’s body was mummified, and take a closer look at the Great Sphinx, the largest and oldest sphinx carved in Ancient Egypt around 2550 BC during the reign of King Chephren. Enjoy lunch at a pleasant restaurant, and at the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Coptic Cairo - Then, move on to Old Coptic Cairo to see the main sights, such as the Roman Fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga, the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra, and Saint George Church. Explore the cave where the Holy Family found shelter during their stay in Cairo.

Cairo Citadel - Visit the Citadel of Saladin and capture some panoramic photos before exploring the Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha inside the Citadel, built in 1848 AD. It is the most prominent mosque in Cairo due to its large size and location atop the citadel, modeled after the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul.

Khan Al-Khalili - Stroll through Cairo’s largest market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar, established in the 14th century by the Mamluk Sultan Barqouq, who gifted the land to his friend Jahrkas El Khalili after demolishing the Fatimid cemetery to build the market. You will then be dropped off at your hotel.

Luxor Day Tour.
