Gibraltar Spirit of the Rock Gin Experience! - We attended the Spirit of the Rock Distillery tour and tasting and it was wonderful! Leslie and Peter were great hosts. Leslie gave a very informed talk about the history of the various types of gin with a tasting for each type. The timeline picture on the wall was a great reference along the way. The gins carafe pours were very generous, with each person being able to taste as much or as little as they wished. Although I have not had gin with a splash of water before, it was very nice tasting. We enjoyed meeting the other couples there and the extras such as coffee to smell, crackers, and mixers were a nice touch. It was well worth the price to attend, very relaxing and we love history. I recommend it to all as part of your Gibraltar visit.

Old Tom Rules! - Our instructor/expert was very knowledgeable about the history of Gin and shared compelling stories that I hope I can remember! And, after tasting. I now know I prefer Old Tom over any other Gin. Go for the gin, stay for the stories!!!

Very informative and fun - Great way to learn about the history of gin. We were in a group of only 6 people which was perfect. We really enjoyed tasting all the gins through the ages and the cocktail at the end was delicious. A great way to spend a couple of hours and you can purchase the gin which you cannot get anywhere other than Gibraltar.

Excellent - We had a such a great informative gin experience presented by Lesley. Full history of gin shared which we all found interesting. The gin was very good and would highly recommend the event. Very happy to purchase a gin which we enjoyed during our tasting. Don’t hesitate to book and a great compliment to a lovely little city break.

A must do for gin lovers! - Tasting was fun and informative. The owner needed to switch the time of our tour to accommodate a larger group, but he gave us several days advanced notice to decide if we could make the switch to avoid a cancellation fee which we appreciated. This tour is an easy 25 minute walk from the cruise port, fyi.

It was informative and organized. The only comment would like to make is Peter shouldn’t bring current politics into it - It was informative and organized. The only comment would like to make is Peter shouldn’t bring current politics into it

Not allowed to ask a question! - The Operator kindly changed my booking date by two days to accommodate my not feeling well. Hence I upped review to 3 stars. I arrived early, bought a small bottle 2 pack for next week use when continuing my travels. While the in house Gin was lovely, the presenter was rude to me! After being seated, I saw the Gin timeline banner & saw a Smirnoff Vodka in the Gin banner. Surprised I simply asked why was the Vodka in the gin timeline. The presenter had not started her spiel yet! SHE INSULTED ME BY SAYING TO THE FOUR OTHER GUESTS THAT “THERE IS ONE IN EVERY CROWD ETC” & WENT ON & DEMEANING & INSULTING ME! I tried not to cry & kept my mouth shut until the very end. The Wonderful Gin brought some comfort to me. A day later I am still upset She then started after conversing to her friend Jackie, who was the fifth person to join our tasting, with her hurtful remarks about me. Needless to say I & no other paying customer said another word until the presenter lady was finished….but Jackie, the friend, asked many questions & got clarifications - Thank God she could speak but no one else could! 1. What does “One in every crowd” mean in reference to me asking a question - I am a polite senior female. 2. Thank you, Jackie (the presenter’s friend) for asking questions 3. Thank you to Operator/Owner for changing my reservation by two days 4. Finally. Why is the Smirnoff Vodka in the 1960 Gin timeline? NOT ANSWERED PROPERLY AS THE PRESENTER SAID SHE WOULD ADDRESS LATER WHILE ADMONISHING ME!
