• Pura Penataran Sasih - Dressed in traditional sarongs and sashes, the group will visit one of Bali’s most ancient temples, gaining exclusive access to Southeast Asia’s largest bronze kettle drum. Here, participants will discover how local myths and legends are intertwined with this significant artifact, known as the Moon of Pejeng.

• Pura Pusering Jagat - The journey continues to one of Bali’s six main Kahyangan (directional) temples, considered to be at the heart of the island. As the group explores this sacred temple complex, they will examine the intricately carved “Pejeng Vessel” and discuss the early spread of Buddhism and Hinduism in Southeast Asia.

• Kebo Edan Temple - Temple of the Crazy Buffalo: In this intimate temple, the group will view the impressive 13th-century Bhairawa statue, which was discovered in nearby rice fields. Together, they will explore theories about its unique origins and possible connections to Balinese Tantric practices.

• Arca Building Archaeological Museum - For the final stop, the group will journey back to pre-Hindu Bali. They will explore giant sarcophagi in an open courtyard, gaining intriguing insights into ancient Balinese life and customs.

Accessibility:
Our walking tours are conducted around historic landmarks, and there are certain elements we cannot modify. These include uneven temple stairs, steep slopes, and irregular sidewalks. Participants should be physically able to climb steps and be ready to walk in an urban setting for up to two hours.

Weather:
Weather conditions may occasionally impact the tour’s start time. We operate in all weather, but in the event of severe conditions, such as a heavy downpour, we will contact you before the tour begins. Consider this an exciting part of your Bali adventure!

Temple Etiquette:
Balinese temples are sacred and religious sites. To show respect, both men and women should dress modestly by wearing a sarong that covers the legs below the knee. Guests are welcome to bring their own sarong or use one provided.
