The final stop is a visit to the Goa Gajah Temple, also known as the Elephant Cave Temple, situated on the western side of the countryside in Blah Batuh Subdistrict, Gianyar Regency. This cave is constructed at the edge of a crevasse formed by the confluence of two streams, known as the Pangkung River, which merges with the Petanu River.

The name Goa Gajah is mentioned in the Negara Kertagama manuscript, compiled by Mpu Prapanca in 1365 AD. The term Lwa or Lwah/Loh signifies the river, indicating that the hermitage is located at the Gajah River or in Air Gajah.
