• GBE Silver Class - Within the confines of my hometown, Delodsema, a significant 70% of the male population are engaged in the craft of silver smithing. This trade is the cornerstone of our local economy, accounting for more than half of our economic activity. My upbringing in a family of silver smiths has inspired me to establish this workshop, allowing you to immerse yourself in the art of jewelry making. Importantly, my enterprise supports the local community by providing additional income and showcasing their craftsmanship to international visitors. Our instructors are all natives of the area, and a portion of our proceeds is reinvested into the village.\nThe experience begins with transportation from your location to our Delodsema workshop. Upon arrival, we extend a heartfelt welcome with complimentary coffee or tea, accompanied by traditional Balinese treats. As we savor these refreshments, we’ll share insights into the Balinese way of life, cultural practices, and customs. We’ll also present a variety of jewelry samples for your inspiration, and we encourage you to share any design ideas you may have. Following this, we’ll proceed to prepare the silver, offering hands-on assistance throughout the entire process, from heating and cutting to cleaning and finishing. Your safety is our priority, and we’re committed to helping you craft the piece of jewelry you envision.

The concept for this experience originated from a guest’s suggestion. They expressed interest in witnessing the creation of Balinese jewelry, prompting a visit to the family workshop. There, the process, home concept, and Balinese culture were explained, which they thoroughly enjoyed. They proposed developing an activity where travelers could craft their own jewelry while learning about local traditions and lifestyle. Thus, this experience was established.

The team consists of skilled, friendly, and passionate local silversmiths with over 15 years of expertise. As native Balinese who are fluent in English, they take pride in sharing not only their craft but also stories about their culture, history, and traditional house philosophy.

Additionally, some team members are professional tour guides, eager to assist in exploring more of Bali. They look forward to welcoming guests and sharing their world soon!
