Ghandruk to Upper Sinuwa (2345m)
Upper Sinuwa to Deurali (3700m)
Deurali - On the third day, after an overnight stay in Upper Sinuwa, the trail ascends as the air becomes cooler and fresher, leading us towards the Annapurna Sanctuary. The path winds through beautiful spots like Bamboo, Dovan, and the Himalayas. The entire day involves walking through lush bamboo and rhododendron forests along the Eden valley of the Modi River.
These locations are not villages but rather local guest houses. We will gently ascend to the Himalaya Hotel, near Hinko Cave, situated beneath Hiunchuli peak. We will cross a glacier and moraine, then a small bridge to reach Deurali, the last lodge before Machhapuchare Base Camp. From here, the vegetation and tree lines give way to alpine bushes and shrubs as we follow the Modi River upstream to reach Machhapuchare Base Camp. We will stay overnight in Deurali, which has five local guest houses.
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m)
Annapurna Base Camp - On the fourth day, after breakfast, we will ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, located at 3900m above sea level. Today, we will climb 730m to reach Annapurna Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends to ABC, with a pleasant stop at MBC beneath the towering North Face of Machhapuchare, the Fish Tail peak. The journey continues uphill into the Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp, reaching higher areas with stunning views of the Annapurna peaks that encircle the sanctuary, including Annapurna I.
After a short walk, we will arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, a magnificent spot with a few lodges offering tremendous views of the snowcapped peaks surrounding the base camp. The afternoon is free to enjoy the mountain views and glorious glaciers. Annapurna Base Camp is a delightful place to soak in the beauty of the majestic mountains.
Base Camp to Bamboo (2345m)
Bamboo to Jhinu Village (1700m)
Jhinu Danda - From here, we will take a short, steep ascent to KhuldiGhar, then descend through the forest to reach the secluded spot of Sinuwa-Danda. From there, we will descend to Chomrong Khola. After crossing the bridge, we will climb briefly to Chomrong village for lunch. After Chomrong, we will have another short ascent to reach the top of Chomrong ridge, followed by a downhill walk to Jhinu-Danda.
Jhinu Danda is renowned for its beautiful and popular natural hot springs. You can enjoy the hot springs, located on the bank of the Modi River, a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are four hot spring ponds, each with different water temperatures. We will stay overnight in the beautiful Jhinu Danda village and enjoy the natural hot springs.
Jhinu Village to Samrung Khola, then drive back to Pokhara.
Pokhara Lakeside - After a refreshing adventure and a final short downhill walk, we will cross a long suspension bridge to reach Samrung Khola. From Samrung Khola, we will take a local jeep to Pokhara, a 4-hour drive. The road passes through Kimrung village, Syauli Bazaar, Birethati Nayapul, Kande, and Naudanda before reaching Pokhara.
