A great trip - An excellent trip and one not to be missed if you are in Malta for a few days. Book this for a great day - we had a super guide - Godwin who was very entertaining. Picked up from our hotel for an easy transfer to the fast boat across to Gozo and a really good day.

Would recommend this trip to Gozo - We both really enjoyed the trip, it was well organised and good communication. The island of Gozo was lovely and had lots to offer. Why did I not rate a five? The food for lunch was just not to our taste, would have preferred to have paid a few dollars more and get something a little nicer. And the trip to beach was a bit of a none event, I would imagine this would be great in warmer months but as the bars were closed we just stood looking at beach for 40 mins, I would have personally preferred to spend that time in Victoria seeing the main street to be honest. All that said our driver Mataous was great, the whole day was well organised and safe with good communication so I would recommend.

Fairly good with two major downsides - We paid €160 for two for this trip at our hotel. We were collected in the morning and roadworks on return meant we had to walk a few hundred yards back to the hotel. The driver who did the Malta part was Joseph who was really knowledgeable about Malta and Gozo. He collected a few other guests from hotels around us then off to the departure port. The boat rides there and back are fun. Once we docked our jeep drivers were waiting to speed off on tour but this was where the first ‘you must be kidding’ event. The jeeps held five pay customers so one couple had to volunteer to travel apart. No one and I mean no one was happy about this but the guides were a bit sharp about it. Had we known this risk in advance in clear terms we wouldn’t have booked it but the seller in the hotel did briefly mention jeeps holding five but she offered no view that the couple she was selling too might have to split up for the 6 hour trip. So buyer beware. Other guests said this too. We essentially did a round the island trip. I was cramped in the jeep and found it difficult to put on the seatbelt. Several places were scenic just stopping to look at bays and coastal views. They stopped at a gift shop and offered instant coffee Malta style apparently and we bought clothing and food like honey and chocolate. It was lousy tasting as it was instant coffee. The food tasting there was very good and the staff welcoming. We were offered a blue lagoon 15 minute boat ride at €5 a person and it was delightful. Lunch was included in the €80 tour price and was in the Rotunda cafe in the capital Victoria. I’ve reviewed it separately but it was awful food and grim white wine. I wouldn’t return for free. This was the second shocker. I did feel sorry for the couple who got the short straw and were in two different jeeps. The guy was in our jeep and we talked to him but he said a few times that no one spoke to his wife in the other jeep. After lunch we got half an hour to stroll in the capital Victoria. It was overcrowded, with very dangerous broken footpaths and filthy streets. They also brought to an underwhelming beach. Then it was all over and back to the boat. It passed by Camino on the sail back. Glad we did it ONCE but never again. There not a part of the tour I would want to re visit.

Tour length - The tour description says 6 hours. It’s probably around 9 hours. Took two hours just to get us to Gozo. We got to Gozo only to find out that we would not be able to get back in time to make our cruise ship departure. So we left at lunchtime and took the ferry back on our own. The tour guides were very helpful though.

Gozo.....never again! - I don't think I have ever given a negative review to a place before. We have been enjoying Malta and Valletta, including Mdina and the Three Cities. We spent today in Gozo and I am baffled as to why people come here. We were in Victoria, Xlendi etc. And nothing appealed to us. The buildings are dirty, cafés basic, service poor, pavements broken, shops shabby and the people are surly. We saw nothing that would bring us back here again. To further the misery, the bus service is abysmal. We queued for 40 mins with a crowd for a bus in Victoria, which was cancelled. There was no information availed and questions were answered gruffly.
