Getxo City Tour - Javier was an excellent tour guide . He was very knowledgeable about our Getxo City tour , showed us all the historical sights , treated us to a delicious lunch down by the beach , bought us refreshments and answered all of our questions . He even paid for our transportation from Bilbao to Getxo and on are return . He even escorted us directly to our hotel . I would definitely recommend this tour with Javier .

Fantastic. - The first bridge in the world where the crossing takes place by cable car. Fascinating technology, a must-see

Out-of-town trip to the colgant point - At 13 metro stops you reach Puertogalete where the Nerviòn River joins the Ocean. In this small town in 1893 the first bridge was inaugurated that transports people and vehicles from one bank to the other. The Vizcaya Bridge (dangle bridge) is 51 meters high and 164 meters long. The crossing lasts two minutes and gives a memorable emotion. Even more exciting is the 45-meter-high walking crossing, but to climb to the upper path, there are endless queues because, to reach the top there is only one elevator that has limited spaces. Since 2006 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Worth seeing - Being in the area it is worth visiting and crossing the river with the cable car installed, to cross from Guetxo to Portugalete.

An exciting object - Even in rainy weather, the tourist rush is then limited. Overall, something special from the basic idea and execution. The walk over the bridge gives a beautiful panoramic view and the ride on the gondola is inexpensive and a must.

Interesting example of industrial archaeology - It is the oldest conveyor bridge in the world and is still functioning. The shuttle carries both cars and passengers, the crossing takes two minutes and the cost of the ticket is negligible. Inside the two pylons, two elevators have been installed and, once at the top, you can walk along the deck platform and admire the bay and the ocean. In addition, the area does not offer much, but the bridge is well connected to the center of Bilbao by the metro that travels above ground from the outskirts of the city and along the way you have the opportunity to see how the economic crisis has marked Spain.

Wish I had seen Getxo! - Did not take it. Trip Advisor sent wrong guide for this tour. And refuse to give me a full refund!. Can't trust Trip Advisor. This is my first time buying tour from Trip Advisor. I bought 3 tours. The first tour was cancelled by Trip Advisor at a last minute, second tour (which is this one). I have one more to go on Tuesday. Will find out whether this will be a third strike!
