Highlight of the Entire Cruise - I purchased this excursion before embarking on the Carnival Horizon cruise, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. I was initially concerned about making it to the 9am meeting point since our ship was anchored at a tender port. We had to wait for hundreds of passengers who had booked excursions directly through Carnival to disembark before us. Thankfully, everything worked out and we arrived right on time. In hindsight, I’m very glad we didn’t book the 12pm excursion, as the last water shuttle back to the ship departed at 3:30pm. From pickup to drop-off, everything was efficient and extremely well organized. My mom and I enjoyed the boat ride to the first stop. It was a bit windy, so I recommend bringing a lightweight jacket or an extra towel to wrap around your shoulders. At the first stop, we encountered many stingrays, and the staff even held one so everyone could touch, kiss, and take photos with it. Our boat arrived early enough to beat the crowds, which made a huge difference - it didn’t feel crowded at all. Shortly after we arrived, a large two-level boat showed up, and I was grateful we weren’t part of that group. I didn’t participate in the snorkeling at the second stop, so I can’t personally comment on that experience. However, the final stop was beautiful: we saw starfish, and once again, there were very few people around, which allowed us to take as many photos as we wanted. The staff kindly took pictures of my mom and me throughout the trip without hesitation. At the end of the excursion, we had the option to return directly to the port or be dropped off at Seven Mile Beach, and we chose the beach. Transportation back to the port was very convenient: $5–6 per person by shared shuttle or $2.50 per person by public bus. I would highly recommend this excursion. It was absolutely worth the price and truly enhanced our cruise experience!

Do it! Unique and worthwhile experience! - Our captain and first mate were first rate! Funny, informative, made sure we felt safe, informed about each stop and ensured that everyone got to enjoy each experience - whether it was snorkeling, seeking out the starfish, while respecting conservational guidelines; swimming with the rays, holding, feeding them or even kissing them (the sting rays) for good luck! So worthwhile from the very beginning to the end!

We had the most... - We had the most incredible time on our stingray and snorkelling tour in Grand Cayman! Visiting Stingray City was the highlight— the water was crystal clear, shallow, and the stingrays were gentle and surprisingly friendly. The guides were knowledgeable, patient, and made everyone feel comfortable. Snorkelling also good too. Starfish point was lovely to see but there were so many other boats and groups there—crowded and stressful because other groups did not respect the starfish. Big thank you to Adrian and Carlos. Awesome guides!!!

Stingray Big Dee adventure - Great excursion. Our initial booking day was cancelled due to high winds but the tour company was very accommodating thanks to Duncan we managed to reschedule. The staff on Big Dee were great and knowledgeable and funny. Learned a lot about sting rays and we managed to kiss one . The starfish and snorkelling was a fun adventure. Definitely would do it again.

Not the best - I would say if you want an ethical experience, don’t choose this one. We looked online beforehand and I guess more my mistake than the company. It’s very person driven, they chase after the stingrays and it seems it’s the same one who is caught that has to pose for the pictures. I’m actually sad that I was sucked into it, I was though. That is my fault. The stingrays do come of their own accords, but they are doing it for a very small reward at the end. Food of course which is fine. There was no warning about wearing reef safe sunscreen, we had looked this up prior. A guide chased after the biggest stingray he could find and tried to hold it. To be honest, I’m disgusted at myself for doing the tour in this way, I can honestly say I did not research enough. Advice is, if you really care about these creatures, don’t do what we did. Research and find a small boat to go out on. I’m sorry I didn’t.
