Excellent! - I would highly recommend this tour, we had a brilliant and very informative time. Our guide for the tour, Chris, was informative and knowledgeable and had a natural ability for storytelling. We will definitely be returning for another experience.

Amazing - So the tour was really enjoyable, the guide really knew his stuff. The price was very reasonable. The tour also wasn't full with too many people so it wasn't cramped at all. It was a good 40-50 mins of information on the great history of Norwich

Small street, great guide - We were initially a bit disappointed with the very limited size of the ‘underground street’ compared with Mary King’s Close in Edinburgh but this was more than compensated for by our guide, Kate, who gave us a fabulous history of the building, the area and Norwich itself. The fact that it funds a community project is great too.

Fascinating view of life in old Norwich - Fascinating and interesting view of life in the city during the 1600s and beyond. Gary was our guide. His knowledge and enthusiasm made for an extremely enjoyable tour. One of the hilights of my stay in Norfolk.

Its a great visit lots of fascinating facts about the history of norwich! - There are steep stairs down 2 levels and it is quite dark so you need to take care, but the guide is super helpful and its worth the climb down to the hidden street!

Interesting but small. Has so much potential - It was good. The guide was excellent but he didn't have a lot to work with. The actual medieval bit was small. No,-ones fault. There is the undercroft of a Merchants house there but it's full of rubble and the weavers house is not safe to go inside downstairs. This place needs a lot of funds snd proper excavation and it should be given that as it could be a fantastically interesting part of Norwich. There must be some organisation out there who could sponsor this. Come on folks!

Very interesting historically - Was a really interesting tour to the medieval street to learn about the shop above and what they found underneath it. Gary the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered questions that didn't necessarily tie in to the history of the street. You could tell he loved the job and reads up on the history of Norwich because he is interested in it. The tour was £20 for an hour where as you could go to Norwich castle for £17 for as long as you want but after finding out it goes towards a charity hub for the community that helps people from different walks of life get their lives back on track after suffering difficulties you don't mind paying that money. Sounds like they do a great job. Thanks Gary we loved the tour

Misleading tour advertising. - Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. However, we thought we would be experiencing an underground city beneath the city, walking through hidden tunnels and street, learning about the history of Norwich. Instead, we were led down a stairwell and spent 40 minutes in a basement beneath an old shop before being lead back outside where the tour ended. The title of this tour is misleading.

Not what you might expect. - I feel as if this is the emperor’s new clothes situation. The tour comprises interesting pre info about Norwich and the guide was entertaining and knowledgeable… but the ‘street’ was a couple of ‘rooms’( empty brick spaces and some wattle and daub) much changed over time (as you would expect ). Lots of talk, very little to see and a great disappointment. York it was not! You could have gone down the stairs and seen it all in a leisurely ten minutes. As a historian I found this trip underwhelming and expensive ( though I accept the money goes to good causes).
