DAY 1: ST. POLYCARP AND SMYRNA

DAY 1: ST. POLYCARP AND SMYRNA
Izmir - Guests are welcomed at Izmir Airport between 08:00 - 08:30 or picked up from centrally located hotels in Izmir or Kusadasi Town (please verify your hotel’s location and contact us if it falls within the pick-up zone). The first day of the 6 Days - Seven Churches Tour begins with a visit to the Church of St. POLYCARP, the oldest church in ancient Smyrna, representing the community of the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse. Next, explore Alexander the Great’s “Velvet Castle” with its stunning views of Izmir Bay and the Agora of Ancient Smyrna. At the end of the day, guests are transferred to their hotel for an overnight stay in Izmir City.
Note: The St. Polycarp church may be closed on certain days. In such cases, it will be viewed from the outside, and information on its significance will be provided.
DAY 2: PERGAMUM, ACROPOLIS & ASKLEPIOS
Pergamon Ancient City - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, departure is scheduled around 08:00 - 08:30 to visit Pergamon, the Red Basilica, the Acropolis, and the Asclepion cities. After the tour, return to Izmir for an overnight stay.
DAY 3: SARDES – PHILADELPHIA – PAMUKKALE
Sardis (Sardes) - Following breakfast at the hotel, departure is around 08:00 - 08:30 to drive to Sardes, the ancient capital of the Lydians, and visit the Church of Sardes. Continue to Alasehir to explore the ancient Philadelphia Church. Stroll through the streets of Philadelphia, then proceed to Pamukkale, the “Cotton Castle” known for its lime cascades of the Roman spa. Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, where the Martyrium of St. Philip the Apostle is located. Enjoy a relaxing bath in the hotel’s hot spring pool and stay overnight in Pamukkale Town.
DAY 4: LAODICEA – APHRODISIAS – KUSADASI
Laodicea - After breakfast at the hotel, depart around 08:00 for a morning visit to Eskihisar, the ancient city of Laodicea. Then, drive to Aphrodisias, the city dedicated to the Goddess of Love, and see the well-preserved Stadium, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Odeon, the theater, Agora, and Hadrian Bath. Continue to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
DAY 5: EPHESUS - HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY - BASILICA OF SAINT JOHN
Ancient City of Ephesus - After breakfast at the hotel, depart around 09:00 for a full-day tour of the remarkable remains of the Roman Empire Capital, Ephesus. Visit the House of Virgin Mary, believed to be where she spent her final years and ascended, the Archaeological Museum, and the Basilica of Saint John. After the tour, return to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
DAY 6: TRANSFER TO THE IZMIR AIRPORT
Kusadasi - Depending on flight schedules, guests will be transferred to Izmir Airport.
