A must have for maximizing your Smokey Mountain tour. We used this as we ambled through the mountains and it was great. - We used this as we went through the mountains and it was so helpful to have the gps guided tips. It also gave some insight on the history of the trail. I wouldn’t go there without this approach.

Great Tour to listen to when driving yourself - We loved this tour. Being from Arizona, we had never been to the Smokies before. Our time was limited to 6 hours. The tour descriptions we downloaded allowed us to choose what areas to visit. We loved all the tidbits of information that we heard along the way. The tour guide gave us some great suggestions for when we come back (and we will).

Very good guide to Roadways of Great Smokey NP - Downloaded guide in advance on entering park. Worked very well as we proceeded along the roads with comments loading at key points of interest. Guide pointed out things in advance, so you can anticipate if you want to stop or hike a certain trail.

Hope to make it back. - This tour was difficult to figure out. I have an older vehicle with no touch screen/bluetooth. We downloaded everything to our phones (we thought) and listened to things that way. However there was separate commentary at stopping points that didn't download, so that was missing from the tour. We only did Cades Cove, and it took us almost 5 hours for that. You are on a one way, one lane road, no turning around and can only drive as fast as those in front of you. I'd never done a driving tour, but thought things would be visible from our car. Most things were several hour hikes to see. I'm sure things would have been amazing if I had a better understanding of how things worked. I did receive a full refund from the operator. One note on ticketing - once you purchase the tour, it is good for a year so you can return multiple times. You also need to purchase a separate $15 parking pass, but that is good for any park.

Smokey Mountains Tour - We tried to take an audio tour of the Smokey Mountains beginning outside Gatlinburg, TN. I had a great deal of difficulty getting Viator audio to work. Once we started into the higher elevations the audio quit. I do not think it had anything to do with the higher altitude because Viator had loaded on my phone. Viator provides a help line. However, the people who help do not speak fluent English. Then I lost all cell phone conncection because of being in the mountains and was disconnected form the customer service representative. Therefore, I was not able to use the Viator tour. Viator may work very well for other tours.
