- Garni Temple - The Garni pagan temple, the only temple in the former USSR territory, showcases a Greco-Roman architectural style and is made from basalt. Constructed in the 1st century AD, it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1679 AD and later reconstructed during the Soviet era. Its design is reminiscent of a small Parthenon in Armenia.
- The Monastery of Geghard - Geghard Monastery, a marvel of medieval Armenian church architecture, holds great historical significance. It represents the adoption of Christianity in Armenia, which became the state religion in 301 AD, making it the first country to do so. The name “Geghard” means “spear,” referring to the spear that pierced Jesus. This monastery has endured through the centuries, originally founded in the 4th century by Gregory the Illuminator, whose efforts led to the adoption of Christianity. Although it was destroyed by the 10th century, it was rebuilt in the 13th century. Geghard Monastery is partially carved into solid rock and features intricately detailed carvings and bas-reliefs that showcase the knowledge and skills of our ancestors. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserving its historical and architectural importance for future generations.
