The temple is designed in the style of classical Greek architecture, closely resembling the renowned temple of Athens in Greece. Nearby, a bathhouse from the 3rd century AD showcases features typical of Roman baths from that period.
- The Monastery of Geghard - Built in the 4th century by the first Armenian Catholicos, Gregory the Illuminator, the Monastery of Geghard was initially known as Airivank (cave monastery) before being renamed Geghard. The name Geghard is derived from the spear of the Roman soldier who pierced Jesus Christ’s body, which is now displayed in the museum of Echmiadzin.
