Noravank, Tatev, Karahundj
Noravank Monastery - The Noravank Monastery, a splendid monument of medieval Armenia, dates back to the 13th-14th centuries. The complex includes the 1339 St. Astvatsatsin (“Burtelashen”) sepulchre-church, St. Stepanos Nakhavka and gavit, the St. Grigor Church and Stepanos Orbelian Sepulchre, remnants of medieval chapels and residential quarters, along with a modern office and hall.
Karahundj (Armenia’s Stonehenge) - Known as Karahundj or Karahundj Observatory, and also referred to as Zorats Karer or Zorats Kar, this site is a megalithic arrangement of Bronze Age tombs (cists, dolmens, or tumuli) and over 220 standing stones (menhirs).
Tatev Monastery - Tatev Monastery is a renowned monument of medieval Armenian architecture, constructed between the 9th and 13th centuries. The name “tatev” translates from old Armenian (grabar) as “give wings,” and indeed, perched at a great height, Tatev appears to soar towards the sky. Its walls seem to naturally extend from the rock that elevates it so high.
