Rock was awesome and the tour and tasting was so worth it! - My spouse and I had a fantastic experience at Eimverk Distillery. Rock was an outstanding host and tour guide—clearly passionate about his work and incredibly knowledgeable about the unique Icelandic ingredients and processes that make these spirits so special. He was also very personable, and we had great conversations throughout the tour, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal rather than scripted. The spirits themselves were excellent—truly unlike any gins or whiskies we’ve had before. You can really taste how distinctive the ingredients and approach are, and it makes Eimverk stand out in a big way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Reykjavik area, whether you’re a spirits enthusiast or just looking for a memorable, uniquely Icelandic experience.

Excellent tasting session - Excellent tasting session done by Nico. Good variety of whisky, including the unexpectedly wonderful smokiness of the sheep dung whisky. Very much would suggest others to attend the tasting.

Does not disappoint - Nick was an excellent host this evening. His culinary background has given him an advantage when it comes to ingredients used in each drink and how it compares between drinks.

Whisky tour - Thank you Nico. We had a lovely visit today to the distillery. Very informative and you may have converted me (Tracey) to the only whisky Ive liked so far. Believe me we have tried a few. Best wishes Tracey, Mike, Katie from MT Cask, UK

Nice and tasty! - Great tour with a small group in a small distillery. Clear explanation, and lots of tasting😋, in a cozy tasting room between the barrels. Fortunately a non-drinking driver, who could drive us safely back😊. For their and whisky lovers highly recommended!

Local flavors in an experienced way - We had a knowledgeable and friendly guide in Paul, who walked us through the history of the distillery, the history of distilling whiskey in Ireland, gin flavor profiles based on local ingredients, and the beverages themselves in a tour that ran longer than scheduled, but no one was complaining! 10/10 would recommend for friends visiting town.

Loved it, worth the price, do it if you come here! - Absolutely loved this place, getting to see how the spirits were made was educational and interesting, and getting to sample all the whiskeys and gins by the man making them was awesome. Don’t remember his name but he was a nice and funny German man, someone give that guy a raise! Whenever I’m back in Iceland I’ll be back for sure! 👍

Why not taste Gin and Whiskey at a micro distillery on a rainy Iceland afternoon - The tour was about a 15 minute taxi ride from downtown Reykjavik. It would have been one of the most economical activities that we did while in Iceland save for the transit. Because of the length of the tour it was an ideal option for a short window during an afternoon and one that my father (in his 70s) enjoyed. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. A couple things to be aware of, this is a micro distillery and not like the larger distilleries that we are accustomed to in the US. That did not take away from the experience, but it was different than what we anticipated when we booked the tour. We tasted numerous gins and whiskeys during the tour as well as learned the correct method for tasting a gin. This is not a tour that I recommend for kiddos; I just don’t see that there will be anything for them to do.
