• Walker Bay Nature Reserve - (Approximately 120 minutes from start to finish) This is the ultimate adventure, beginning near Grootbos Nature Reserve and descending the mountain to the top of the Sand Dunes. The trail to the dunes is unique, following a narrow sandy horse path through the Fynbos. Upon reaching the dunes, the breathtaking views after 1km will amaze you. A briefing will be provided on how to ride down the dunes, including slalom skiing and navigating the steep dunes on the way to the beach. Although the dune face may seem daunting and risky, the ride is actually very controlled, with the sand naturally slowing the bike. What may initially seem impossible will turn out to be both enjoyable and easy. All the large dunes have alternative routes, so if you’re uncertain, there is a simple path all the way down when on the dunes.

Participants will observe animal tracks and learn about the wildlife and flora on the dunes. This activity is great fun on a bike and not too challenging; as long as you can ride a bike, you will enjoy this experience. From the dunes, a 4x4 path leads down to the beach (ranked as the 10th best uncrowded beach in the world), where a vehicle will be waiting.
