The estate bears testimony to Moody’s built wealth from a diversified portfolio comprising over 50 businesses, ranging from insurance, banking, hospitality, to railways, ranching and more. His wealth placed him among the top 10 richest individuals in America at the time of his passing. Moody also founded the Moody Foundation, and his daughter initiated the Mary Moody Northen Endowment, both of which continue to fund environmental, educational, social, and historical initiatives until today.
