• Galle Fort - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hikkaduwa, Dodanduwa, Ginthota, Galle, Unawatuna, Talpe, or Koggala and transferred to visit the OLD DUTCH FORT GALLE. The fort was initially constructed by the Portuguese in the early 16th century to protect and preserve the city, and it was significantly fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century. Originally, the fort was an earthen structure with palisades, a rampart, three bastions, and a surrounding moat. Under Dutch control, they built robust fortifications using coral and granite stones, transforming the fort into a small, well-planned walled town with a rectangular grid pattern of streets lined with low houses featuring gables and verandas.
• Japanese Peace Pagoda - The next stop is the Japanese Peace Pagoda on Rumasalla Hill, one of three Buddhist stupas in Sri Lanka.
