Koggala Lake - At 09:30, after breakfast, embark on an exciting day with one of Galle’s expert TukTuk driver guides. The guide will take you to the first stop on your itinerary: the Spice Garden on Koggala Lake. Participate in a brief tour around the Gardens, where you will see spice plantations and learn more about Sri Lanka’s spices.

Japanese Peace Pagoda - At 10:45, the next destination is the gleaming white Peace Pagoda on Rumassala. According to the Hindu epic Ramayana, this hillock is believed to be a legendary piece of the Himalayas dropped by Hanuman.

Jungle Beach - At 11:30, visit the lesser-known Jungle Beach, renowned for its clear waters ideal for swimming.

Sea Turtle Hatchery - At 12:00, visit a Sea Turtle Hatchery and Rehabilitation Center. Learn about the safe collection and hatching of eggs to protect them from predators. Please note that physical interaction with turtles is strictly prohibited during this activity.

Koggala Lake - At 12:45, travel to Koggala Beach. Along the way, observe many stilt fishermen and feel free to stop, chat, and take photos. Arrive at Koggala Beach at 13:00, where you can relax and sunbathe.

Galle Fort - At 13:30, visit a local village lady named Debbi, who will prepare some of her delicious delicacies for you to enjoy.

Galle Fort - After a restful night’s sleep and breakfast, embark on a cycling tour through small dirt roads to a local village. Experience the countryside of Galle on a memorable cycling tour with the Beyond Escapes Cycling crew. Enjoy the rural countryside attractions and observe the life of rural villagers. This tour also includes a bird-watching experience in a lagoon. The total cycling trail is just 12 kilometers. Helmets, bicycles, first aid, refreshments, and water bottles are provided during the cycling tour.

Galle Fort - In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of the Dutch fort of Galle. Built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, it is a historical, archaeological, and architectural heritage monument. Even after more than 423 years, it maintains a polished appearance due to extensive reconstruction work by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. The fort’s heritage value has been recognized by UNESCO, and it is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
