Loved the tour and our guide!
Very interesting tour, tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the processes in making of spirits
Dennis. our tour guide was very friendly and welcoming. Very detailed and knowledgeable. Second time in a distillery with the first being the Corralejo Tequila distillery in Penjamo, GTO. Mexico. Located in beautiful Galena, IL the Blaum Bros. distillery is small but hopefully they will expand in the near future. They're an up and coming distillery that produces quality bourbon, gin, vodka and soon rum! You have to try the "Hellfyre!" Hits your tougue with an explosion of flavours. The actual distillery is clean and orderly. The barrel storage room makes you want to move your bed in and take a nap.The aromas should be made into air fresheners. Bar and lounge areas are great! Only complaint would be that they should pour a few more samples as one isn't enough. J/k!
The tour was very informative and the tour guide was knowledgeable. Very nice facility very clean and well ran. Staff was friendly and we had a great time. Their products are really good and I highly recommend taking the tour and purchasing their products.
Dennis gave a gr at your, friendly and knowledgeable, look forward to coming back!
Very fun and informative!
I wish that rum would have been available. Also, it would have been great to have met one of the brothers.
The tour was very informative. Dennis was wonderful
The guide was very knowledgeable and showed great interest in letting us know all about how the distillery works and the Blaum Brothers. The tasting after the tour was fun too!
It was a great tour; however I think you would sell more liquor if instead of shots, you had some actual drinks made/mixed with your product. It would give people ideas how to use and possibly buy more. Otherwise very very good information.
Enjoyed myself during my visit. Bartenders and everyone else I interacted with were very nice. Bourbon lemonade was delicious. My only critique would be to stop continuously mentioning Jack Daniels (garbage swill) every 2 seconds while on the tour. Id also recommend a more thorough explanation of the distilling process as well as the general process of what it is you're doing there to set yourself apart from the rest of the vast bourbon market.
Just disappointed that you weren’t brewing anything. Also please consider smaller bottles of gin, vodka, and the spicy vodkas. I would have bought smaller bottles of each.
This was our first distillery tour. I was interested in how vodka and gin are made, they weren't even mentioned until near the end of the tour. I know whiskey is popular but only talking about whiskey during intro had me thinking I was in the wrong place. Richard is a nice guy but he really stretched the intro before tour. We did enjoy the tour and learned several things. You have a neat place and wish you success.
Tour guide Kathy not very knowledgeable about details and not a very fluid speaker (lots of sops and starts). Very nice facility. Wish they had more available in smaller bottles.
Great place Great tour Great service
I felt that the tour was very informative, but, a bit too long. 50 minutes. Also too pricey for what you get. I'v been to dozens for such tours that were free, or for that price included a souvenir, such as a free shot glass
Good visit - interesting; however, we thought we were going to see the making of the product in action. All we got was Dennis telling us things that we had to picture in our minds. My wife did like the cat and the samples were fun.
The tour was interesting and informative. I feel that if you want people to become familiar with your product you should not charge $10 for this tour. If someone likes the product they will buy it on the way out. You will make a profit but why make money on the tour.
It was very informative and our Host was wonderful
We had a great tour with John. We also had a great experience buying the first run of bourbon and meeting and recieving the Blaum brothers autograph.
Great tour and guide!
I have (fortunately) been on many distillery tours but the one at Blaum Bros. was one of the best. Our guide, Dennis, not only gave us the ins and outs of the distilling process but did so in a way the was understandable and fun! The tastings at the end gave us a sneak peak at some of their products and, of course, I needed to purchase a few bottles for extra practice. When in Galena, stop by Blaum Bros. for a great tour and even greater libations.
the tour was great, just had one issue with the reservation, I made it for 12 people at 1:00 online, immediately called and talked to Matt who said not problem we can move you to the 3:00 tour as that is the one we wanted. When I got there at 2:40, Richard, I think his name was or Doug, oops forgot, said sorry you were on the 1:00, not pleasant at all even after I explained what took place, once I mentioned I talked to one of the brothers he was nicer....said, "well, the tour is going to be really full, yadda yadda yadda" my friends were saying, well if they don't want us here we will just leave, I told them about the initial mix up and let's just stay. The tour itself was good but I tell you, customer service wise.......I would have a talk with Richard and explain being nice to customers is key!
The tour was very informative and interesting. Suggestion would be change the order of the sampling at the end. Starting with the gin almost left such a strong burn that you couldn’t enjoy the whiskey. I would put that first.
Need a non drinker ticket price. Tastings were too small. Tour guide was great. Drinks were excellent but too expensive
Dennis was great gave us so much information and history. Would highly recommend stopping in!
I was very surprised that young children were allowed to take the tour. I would suggest that you offer an adult tour experience that would allow the 21 and over crowd to truly enjoy the distillery and tasking experience without having to worry about tripping over toddlers and strollers.
It was cool learning how everything was made. I would have liked a bit more history and the samples to be a bit bigger. Still a great experience.
