An excellent tour. - We were collect from the ship promptly at 10:30. Carlos the driver was an excellent tour guide, we visited some outstanding places in the mountains, the Rum factory being just one of the many. Carlos found us a superb restaurant for lunch, even recommending what to have. The tour continued after the excellent lunch, eventually getting back to the ship at about 16:30. The only disappointment being they supplied a mini-bus, very comfortable, but we were expecting a car as there were only two of us. Overall a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Viator for future excursions.

Great driver - Our driver Reineth is awesome, so helpful and full of jokes. He give us advice on how to better our trip and where’s a good place to eat in each place we visit in case we come by ourselves next time.

Fun, flexible and informative! - Miguel was an excellent guide, friendly, flexible and had great suggestions for sightseeing with our group. He went above and beyond our expectations. This was our first time to Madeira. With very little information he was able to navigate to my father’s birth place (we had no address) by listening to the few clues we were given by our father who lived there 60 plus years ago. As a result I was able to FaceTime with my father back in the US and share our visit to his home country (and his childhood home) since he was unable to come with us. It was truly a dream come true! Obrigado Miguel! You did an amazing job!

Good value day of your choice - We saw basically everything we wanted to see during the day. The guide was informative and told us a lot of interesting information on Madeira.
We didn't get the Mercedes on the photo but a minibus. The car was not in a very good shape.
The restaurant the guide took us in Santana was a tourist trap and not very good.
I found the communication with the tour operator a bit frustrating prior to the tour. They didn't answer quickly and I had to ask same things many times.
But all in all, it was a good value day.
