The Food & Wine Walking Tour takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and it starts at 10.00am. Attendance 15 minutes earlier is required. The meeting point is at Infante Roundabout right next to “H&M” store at 09.45am.

Wine &food tour in Funchal is fantastic! - Interesting tour in Funchal with a very competent guide! Info about buildings and places, combined with tasting food, cakes, fruit and different things to drink gives a special touch of the city and Madeira.. The tour was very well organized! A fun time exploring, eating, and drinking - Bruno was our guide and he was super funny, a fountain of knowledge, and had tons of tips and tricks for navigating the city. We had a great time and he gave us a list of other places to check out. The spots were all unique and the food and drink phenomenal.

A great insight - Roberto was very knowledgable and gave us a real insight into Madeira. Whilst softly spoken he had excellent English. We’ve been to Madeira several times however got to see some places we hadn’t been before.

Informative, tasty and fun! - The tour is easy to join for all ages. The wines and food were delicious. Information provided beforehand is clear. Matt was an amazing tour guide. Because we were in a small group, he took the time to answer any of our questions and introduce us to some of the locals. This made it a memorable experience for me.

Lots to taste and a great way to explore - Really enjoyed this tour, there was plenty to see and plenty to taste and lots of stops about town. The order could’ve been slightly better (we started with Madeira wine at 10am!) but that’s driven by locations. Our guide gave us a lot of history and personal knowledge and we all really enjoyed it. Would recommend

Great experience - In this tour we walked in a small group in the center of Funchal. Our guide explained more about the history of Madeira and Funchal, and brought us to eight different location where we could taste different drinks like several Madeira wines, poncha or local beer, and enjoy local food including meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, cookies and chocolates. Overall we spent more than four most enjoyable hours.

A must do trip! - What a fantastic activity! Well worth doing. Our guide, Matt was so informative and the 8 stops for food and drink left us too full for a meal later. Small group of 10 meant everyone was involved in the conversations. Although we have been coming to Funchal for 10 years we learned new information!
