The viewpoint has been modernized with a glass skywalk. It’s a fantastic location for paragliding and base jumping. Cabo Girão’s viewpoint, the highest cliff in Europe at 580 m above sea level, commands a breathtaking view of the fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão. These are small patches of farmland nestled at the base of the cliff. Also visible are awe-inspiring panoramic views of the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
