• Zona Velha - Embark on our Jeep from Funchal to Poiso at 1412 meters altitude, passing through Montado do Pereiro (a protected Natural Area), with the beautiful bay as a backdrop. Enjoy dramatic views and breathtaking landscapes over both the south and north sides of the island.

We will traverse the old town with its narrow roads.

• Abrigo do Poiso Restaurant - After navigating the natural park, we reach Poiso at 1400 meters altitude.

Continuing through the dense forest to Poiso, we ascend towards Pico Areeiro. Beyond 1400 meters, enjoy panoramic views throughout the climb until reaching the mountain’s summit.

• Pico Do Areeiro - Explore Pico do Arieiro, the island’s third-highest peak at 1811 meters above sea level. Experience dramatic mountain views, often above the clouds! Take time to explore the area and uncover hidden gems.

• Miradouro do Juncal - Situated on Madeira’s third-highest peak, Juncal viewpoint is a premier sunrise spot in Madeira.

• Pico Do Areeiro - After Pico Areeiro, we begin a leisurely descent through the scenic road to the Nuns Valley.

We’ll stop along the way to enjoy another stunning view.

• Miradouros Do Paredao - Miradouro do Paredão (1500m) - Offers excellent panoramic views over Funchal and the iconic parish of Curral das Freiras.
• Miradouro Eira do Serrado - Eira do Serrado (1095m) - Provides an unobstructed view of Curral das Freiras, surrounded by Madeira’s majestic green mountains.

A walk is required to reach the viewpoint.

If visibility is unclear above 1300m, we’ll head directly from Funchal to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint.

• Miradouro Pico Dos Barcelos - Pico dos Barcelos - Offers views of the large valley serving as a natural amphitheater for Funchal on one side, and the serene sea along Madeira’s south coast on the other.

Located in Santo António parish - home to the ‘Andorinha’ football club, where Cristiano Ronaldo began his career - this observatory at 355 meters altitude is perfect for enjoying peaceful views of Funchal’s urban landscape, especially its bay.

On clear days, the Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint also offers views of the Desertas Islands, a group of three small volcanic islands: Ilhéu Chão, Deserta Grande, and Bugio. This is undoubtedly a magnificent and memorable panoramic view.
