The tour includes a 45-minute drive to an elevation of 1089 meters above sea level, reaching the viewpoint of Nuns Valley, believed to be one of the volcano’s craters. Known for its chestnuts, the tour also explores the Nuns Valley, offering stunning views from within the crater. Beer enthusiasts may opt to stop and sample chestnut beer.
• Cristo Rei (Jesus Statue) - The guide will collect guests from any hotel or port in Funchal and explain the various options for the 3-hour private tour. A 30-minute drive leads to the Cristo Rei statue, with scenic views of Funchal and the harbor along the way.
