The Calderao verde Hike starts at Queimadas Forestry Park and meanders along the path of Caldeirão Verde’s levada in the Santana municipality.

As you walk through the 4 tunnels along the way, Caldeirão Verde emerges on the left of the levada, with a short ascent along the stream bed leading you to it.

The lake at Caldeirão Verde is created by water cascading from the bed of the Caldeirão Verde stream with a fall of around 100m.
