The guides were very present, I felt pretty safe having never paddled in such large open water before. It was a challenge!
The guides were great - friendly, knowledgeable, and focused on safety. Additionally, all of the gear you would possibly need was included. From dry bags, a lunch box, splash jacket, spray skirt, ziplock bags, to a bottle of water - this kayak adventure offered it all without an additional fee (a rarity compared to other kayak trips we have done). Nothing can beat the views of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore from the water though. We were so glad we did this full day kayak tour!
A great trip with very knowledgeable and courteous staff.
Wonderful Kayak Trip to see Pictured Rocks! Northern Waters is an excellent company. Provided everything you needed for the day and had knowledgeable and very friendly staff.
We had a great time and the tour guides were excellent and stressed safety first. I also appreciated that there were only 10 boats/tour.

We really enjoyed our experience with Northern Waters! Everything was well-organized and we felt well prepared for our full day of kayaking. The guides were knowledgable and laid back (thanks Haiden and Alaina) and really made sure we made the best of the experience. I’d recommend Northern Waters to anyone—we really loved the “smaller shop” feel compared to other companies in th area and believe we had a better experience because of it. We would love to return

Gave us everything we needed for a fun/safe adventure on Lake Superior. Guides were very friendly but remained professional when it came to keeping everyone together and enjoying the trip. Would recommend this day trip to all my friends!
The whole family had a great time!!! The guides were awesome and would definitely recommend them.
I do not know how to swim. The equipment and instructions on how to use the equipment were excellent. The guides made me feel confident that if something were to happen they were very capable of handling the situation. The guides were very informative and friendly on the tour.
We had a blast! I might recommend those who are average kayakers to do the half day. Many individuals were very tired after doing the full day tour.
This trip was unbelievably beautiful! Everything was very well organized and we thoroughly enjoyed our day! Thanks again!
Guides were great! Timing was good.
Organized an guides were amazing!
Tell Chris not to stop telling stupid "dad jokes" Awesome guides, amazing experience. Thanks for having things for us to use, sun screen, ice pack, water bottles, ect. The guides even had sunscreen on their kayaks for the people who didn't at the beach.
Guide was great and everything seemed very well organized for the most part. Trip was beautiful. The only negative to me was meeting at the first location and then having to drive to the second location. It seemed a little confusing for someone not from the area to follow to an unknown location and trying to stay with the group. It would be nice to have everyone meet and park at the location where the bus picks you up from. Maybe fill up trailer with life jackets and everything needed from white/blue barn and meet clients at parking lot where their cars will remain. Will recommend your service to others though!
From start to finish, very professional! Great tour guides! The guides went above and beyond to make the trip fun and safe! Seeing Pictured Rocks from the water and up close was really amazing!
We had a wonderful time; the scenery was amazing!!! The guides know where to take you so that you can get up close to the rocks. This was well worth the money! We had such an amazing time!!! Thank You!
Our guides, Joe and Hayden, assured our group that the equipment provided was appropriate for the waters we would be paddling (sea kayaks, rain jackets, life vests, kayak skirts, dry bags). They reviewed technique and coached all of us as we got to experience Pictured Rocks intimately. I felt confident as we paddled through some waves in the morning. Lake Superior settled down after our picturesque lunch at Mosquito Beach and we were able to get much closer to the cliffs and take better photos on the way back in. Plus the sun gave the cliffs a whole different look in the afternoon. It was a memorable day and I'm glad I chose Northern Waters Adventures. Employee Paul was a good sport too - he got assigned to paddle with me (for me, according to my family...). He handled to kayak well and answered my numerous questions about Munising, Pictured Rocks, and Lake Superior. It might start the day off better if clients were aware that after meeting at the barn & getting equipment, they are to drive to a parking area to meet the shuttle bus. AND, have someone waving them down at the parking area - we almost missed it.
Excellent guides and a very nice kayakingtour!
