Excellent Hakata Walking Tour with Guide Hide - I recently joined a private Hakata walking tour led by the fantastic guide Hide, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Fukuoka! As a first-time visitor, I wanted an insightful introduction to the city's mix of serene green spaces and historical sites, and this tour delivered exactly that. We started at the beautiful Ohori Park, a peaceful urban oasis with its large central pond and a lovely 2km walking path perfect for jogging or relaxing. From there, we moved to the Fukuoka City Museum, where we went to see the Acient Egipt exhibit. Kushida Shrine in Hakata Ward, central Fukuoka, right on the shrine grounds is the Hakata History Museum, a small but fascinating exhibit dedicated to the shrine's history and the Yamakasa festival. Hide was friendly, fluent in English, and incredibly passionate – he tailored the pace perfectly for a solo traveler, answered all my questions. The tour felt personalized and relaxed, covering about 6-7 hours with plenty of photo stops. Highly recommend for anyone – especially solo travelers – wanting a deeper understanding of Fukuoka beyond the usual tourist spots. Kushida Shrine alone is worth the visit! 10/10 – book with Hide if you can!

Great Day! - We were met by our guide at the cruise port. Some companies ask you to meet them but not here. It was a lot of walking but we coveted lots of ground and saw everything as promised. The nice surprise was all our transportation and admissions were included. Buying lunch was our only expense. We were back on time so no stress. Great day. I would recommend this tour

Fukuoka day tour with Miyuki - Our day tour in Fukuoka with Miyuki was great! She took us to some great spots around the city, including the Buddha statue, Ohori Park, and some lovely gardens. She also took us to a great sushi restaurant that we really enjoyed. Miyuki was helpful in showing us how to use public transit, and she was accommodating when we made last-minute requests! We would recommend this tour with Miyuki to anyone planning on visiting Fukuoka in the future! Thank you Miyuki!

A great introduction to Hakata and a highly enjoyable day with Miyuki - I highly recommend this tour…I felt that I was being introduced to Hakarta by a friend. Miyuki was very knowledgeable about her city and showed me the special places. I would not have seen as much or appreciated my first experience of Hakata without Miyuki’s insights. We had an amazing lunch and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and lovely day. Thank you!

A ray of Sunshine - This was a very informative walk curated by Yoko. She told us Yoko means sunshine. She certainly lived up to her name as she was engaging, curious and made the tour fun and interesting. We could not possibly have had a better day without her. Enjoyable and informative - Dear Mayumi. The one day walking tour of Hakata was excellent. You were a great guide and the tour was enjoyable and informative. The weather was kind and the walk around the lake and the Japanese Garden was wonderful, as were the visits to the temples and the Sake tasting. Thank you again for a great experience. A Great Day in Hakata with Kinuyo Koikawa - Kinuyo took us on a full-day walking tour of Hakata, where we had arrived by cruise ship. She was friendly, knowledgeable and well organized, having contacted us beforehand with several lunch options and to adjust our visits to accommodate one of us with mobility issues. We had a great day with Kinuyo and enjoyed her company very much. We highly recommend her.
