- Akiyoshido - Akiyoshido Cave - Recognized as one of the largest limestone caves in the Orient, it is situated at the base of Akiyoshidai Mountain. The visit, including lunch and free time, takes about an hour and a half. Visitors are responsible for their own lunch and admission fees.
Akiyoshido Cave, a designated Natural Monument, stretches 10.7 kilometers, making it the second-longest and one of the largest limestone caves in Japan. It is located 100 meters underground within Akiyoshidai National Park.
Inside, there is a one-kilometer sightseeing path. The cave maintains a cool temperature of 17 degrees year-round, providing comfort in both summer and winter. It features numerous stalagmites, stalactites, and terraced fields formed by extensive limestone formations, which are significant geological specimens.

The 123 red torii stretch along the hillside to the cliff’s edge, creating a stunning landscape against the blue sky, green land, and blue ocean.
Typically, visitors make offerings at shrines, but at Motonosumi Shrine, this is a unique challenge. The offering box is positioned on a torii 6 meters above the ground, making it the most challenging place in Japan to make an offering. Those who succeed are considered very fortunate, and their wishes are believed to come true.
