• French Harbour - French Harbour is one of the oldest communities and home to the boatmaking and the fishing industry on Roatan, and your guide will tour you around the heart of this community where you’ll see the charm of the traditional island style homes, upscale restaurants, churches, and many other local landmarks.

Reaching French Key, we’ll visit the Monkey and Sloth Hangout, where you will have the chance to see the rescued monkeys and sloths in their sanctuary.

Our next stop is the iguana farm, where you will find all over the place over 3000 green iguanas (and a few black iguanas too) basking in the sun.

There is also a fish sanctuary in the marina where the iguana farm owner keeps a large number of these scaled critters in an enclosed area for visitors to watch.

All the animals you’ll see on this tour are abused or orphaned creatures that have been rescued from animal trafficking, illegal zoos, or people who are trying to own them as pets, were rehabilitated, and are competently looked after in reasonably natural surroundings by people who care a great deal about them.
