Must do. - This was the best thing I have done in a really long time. ♥️ We followed the crowd off of our Princess ship through the port shops and up and down the hill to meet the ROA team. Norma was our driver and was so kind. And it was just my husband and me in the van. She took us first to the sloth and monkey sanctuary which was really cool. All of the animals looked well cared for and there really weren’t too many people. Then, she took us to the snorkeling boat. The guide and the captain were outstanding and I haven’t seen such healthy coral with lots of fish of all sizes in a really long time. Looking over the wall was incredible and like the sloth sanctuary there were just a few of us. It was so lovely to get away from the noise and the people and experience nature for a while. You cannot go wrong booking this experience. Oh, and bring a towel and a change of clothes. They take care of everything else.

100000000/10 - Wow, where do we even begin? We had such an absolute blast with this incredible group! This tour was without a doubt the highlight of our entire trip. A huge shoutout to Herbert for making the booking process so seamless. Brandon kept us safe on the roads and made sure we got to every store and stop hassle-free. And a massive thank you to Norman, Adriel, and Daven for being so wonderfully patient with our large group—you made the whole day truly unforgettable! We enjoyed the laughs and eating seeds! The crystal-clear waters, vibrant reefs, and marine life were breathtaking. Thank you all so much!

Top snorkeling option for the Caribbean - Excellent experience: one of the best ( actually, the best) snorkeling locations we’ve seen in the Caribbean. Booked late the night before. They had us on their digital list on their tablet. Animal sanctuary was great! Drift dive snorkeling had tons of fish and coral. It’s near land and not deep, so naturally, some damage and bleaching of coral, but(!) still fantastic compared to similar experiences in Aruba, Bonaire Bahamas & puerto Vallarta (pacific). Spent an hour on Brady’s Cay. Rinsed, changed and ate a bite then back on the snorkel boat to get back to mainland. Left the cruise ship at 8. For the return it was a leisurely stroll back at the port to the ship (MSC) with arrival to our room around 2 PM. Rinsed off and headed to the deck to cheer on the last minute stragglers trying to get back to the boat! Main caution: Pack patience for getting out of the port and to your contact. For us, it was actually very easy. But others have said it was difficult. Follow the signs to downtown to get out of the port buildings. You’ll see a guard shack at the main street. You’ll cross behind the guard shack and then you’ll cross the street. There seemed to be well over 50-75 people standing with signs. As you’re crossing the street look up and down for the ROA sign. It’s actually one of the easiest ones to see because it’s just three letters and a circle I think. If you don’t see it when you’re crossing the street, step back out on the street and look to your left and right. We saw it to our right about 10 yards away as we crossed. Then we waited for four more people. But eventually, they just sent us to on our way with our wonderful driver, David. The van was well air-conditioned and an easy ride. It will take 30 - 45 minutes or so to get where you’re going and to return, but not bad! (Once you meet the rep from the company, you’ll walk about an 1/8 of a mile to get to the van.) We tipped the driver and the snorkel leader.

Everything worked perfectly - A great experience. I was the only one from my ship and was a little leery about connecting with the pickup, but all the other tour guides kept me on the right path and Ann found me! They know you are coming and it will work. Ann was a wonderful driver and I enjoyed our conversation on our 20 minute drive from Corey’s hole to the monkey/sloth preserve . That part of the tour took about 30 minutes. (You might want to bring water. I left mine in the car). Then on to the boat about 5 minutes away. The guides were excellent, kept us safe, and showed us all kinds of cool things. After an hour or so in the water, it was back to land and the drive back to the ship with Ann. I tend to be apprehensive about non-ship sponsored excursions—fear of missing the ship—but this was outstanding.

We love Roatan! - We had so much fun on this excursion! Our guide/driver, Brandon was so kind and informative. He made our day great and easy! He was waiting for us at the port, and the van was clean and air-conditioned. He shared lots of unique information and history of the island with us on the drive. The Monkey/Sloth sanctuary was a highlight of our trip. The animals are well taken care of, and it was a great experience. The snorkeling guide, Trey was really kind, helpful, and informative. He pointed out so many fish and told us their names and any information he had. He helped with our gear and made sure everyone was safe. The driver of the boat was great too! Overall, we had an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Roatan. Especially to go with Roatan Ocean Adventures, they felt like a kind little family taking care of us! At the end, Brandon even took us to get some coffee and chocolate. It was a perfect day!

Great experience, No regrets! - I agree with another reviewer — this was a cruise highlight! This local family-owned business was welcoming and thoughtful with tour participants. Norma first drove us in an air conditioned minivan to the animal sanctuary, where we observed the sloths up close before entering the separate macaw and capuchin monkey enclosures. Law prohibits touching the sloths but the sanctuary personnel facilitated macaws and monkey interaction with seeds for fun photos with the beautiful macaws and super naughty monkeys. We then went to French Cay for snorkeling with knowledgeable guide Erickson and fun drift boat operator Doug. It is a beautiful, healthy reef with a dramatic drop off to the ocean deep, which the extended family takes pride in preserving. Restrooms are onsite at the dock. On our way back to the port, Norma offered to take us to a local restaurant and shopping for locally sourced coffee and chocolate. She was very conscientious about getting us back to the port timely. Such a great experience — I loved it! It is a little daunting to navigate outside the secured port area, but it was just across the street and multiple people from other tour companies pointed me in the right direction.
